In addition to learning about factors affecting reaction rate, you will also be improving your note-taking skills. Your "textbook" can be found in the following places:
"Reactions for STARS" text
At the beginning of each section in the chapter is a list of objectives. Read each of these carefully and use them to guide you in deciding what to write down in your notes. As you finish taking notes over each section, you should answer all of the review questions.
In the "adobe file with highlights", I have highlighted text that I think is important to the objectives. You need to read all of the text to help in your understanding, but you should use the highlights to guide your note-taking.
There are links to videos throughout the text, if the links don't work in the adobe files, try them in the "interactive website" file.
YOU WILL HAVE TWO CLASS DAYS TO TAKE NOTES OVER ALL OF THE SECTIONS AND ANSWER ALL OF THE REVIEW QUESTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT THINK YOU WILL FINISH IN CLASS, YOU SHOULD ACCESS THE FILE FROM HOME OR DOWNLOAD THE ADOBE FILE ONTO A FLASH DRIVE. DAYS 3-5 IN THIS UNIT WILL BE IN THE LAB. YOU WILL NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS IN THE TEXT IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE LAB.
THERE WILL BE A TEST OVER THE TEXT MATERIAL ON DAY 5 OF THE UNIT.
